Until I have my own income coming in from myself and not my parents it does not look good for all of my fantasies and aspirations of what kind of pets I want to own and love in my life. I see these miniature horses, super oversize dogs the size of a very large motor bike from Russia, and designer Savannah cats and pixie bobs on my favorite breeder websites...My family is not in a good place when it comes to bills we have to pay or budgeting worries...so until I have a large backyard zoned for hybrid cats and miniature horses, I will have to just stick with my cat who I love very much since 2008 and the horse I ride once a week for my horse riding lessons.
Money worries are so stressful, the government and politicians bailed out the corporate greed and corruption in the corporate welfare taking place on wall street, in the auto industry, and the less than trustworthy reputation in the banks we also all bailed out....but when do the middle class or low income middle class American people get their break or bail out? We do not have a lobbyist who wines and dines politicians looking for a few extra perks on the side for themselves where they get to be on a committee or hired as an "expert" by the lobbyist companies where they earn a very nice wage for their expertise that would not count for much if they did not have political sway and power in the country.
As a future teacher education is still getting cut, classes are more crowded than ever in many years, programs and classes offered are gone or removed or hindered down to nothing and that is just public school education....
college education you have to take out loans to pay for school, tuition keeps increasing each semester by at least 300 to 600 dollars and the fafsa does not increase our loan or scholarship amounts to adjust to the tuition and school cost increases! If you did not need a college degree in your specific field to get anywhere in life here in the states, I would almost say that college university is not worth it. The colleges are graduating teachers who will not be able to find teaching jobs due to state school budget cut backs and the baby boomers my parents age still hanging on in their 60's and most not wanting to retire till the economy fixes itself and cools down to a more safe road to travel down. Meaning that my parents generation is keeping me from becoming a teacher one day by not moving on and letting the next generation of teachers their children's age start out in their careers. I'm not mad at the good teachers I don't care how old someone is when they teach, it's just that my generation does not have the teaching jobs available to us to enter the field we have our certification degrees in....It would be like if Zack Efron could not get any acting roles because all the parts always went every time to older actors old like Harrison Ford and John Travolta for every part in every movie. I understand the importance of seniority privileges on the job, but seriously I do not think it fair that anyone 25 to 37 is being blocked out from getting hired as a teacher when we are all ready and eager to teach but the jobs are all still filled by teachers who have been teaching since the early 1980's. Their were just so so many baby boomers born after WWII by the returning veterans who wanted a family life in the late 1940's early 1950's that they overwhelm in numbers in industries like teaching. Ideally the schools and the states would have a budget with smaller class sizes and more classes offered besides English, Math, and Science...what about the students who are not very good at or can't relate or get into math, science, or english...what kind of high school is that to have to attend all classes that you hate and do not enjoy like art, sports, or woodshop, or theater, or music, or what ever.
Hopefully things can open up, people start to retire and positions get filled up by new or laid off teachers instead of just disappearing and no longer being offered as a job to be filled.
I want to teach in the more rural so cal neighborhoods where I could afford cheaper land zoned and approved to own a horse on my property. I hope those neighborhoods will have some art teaching jobs available for me!
