Hi, everyone this is my post and blog about comic con this year the month before it happens here written by me in June 2014.
Comic Con the year and the years to come will be much less about snotty unattainable trade show booth babe supermodels and more of a family environment meant for all ages and families to feel comfortable attending. Now as anyone who knows me knows well, I adore good looking hot women in sexy and revealing erotic outfits and cos play costumes as the themed or colorful swimsuit model attire. But I agree with comic con as strange as this sounds for me to say, but yes, supermodels who do not like comic con guys and do not want to be at the comic con unless they are paid big bucks to stand around and just look pretty really are not a requirement for a good year at comic con.
Let comic con form itself and happen on it's own. You don't need the revlon cover girl model in lingerie at comic con floor show at a TV or movie studios booth for it to be a good year at comic con. Besides guys like myself who have trouble reading the subtle social cues get into trouble when the girl I like as the model at the booth tells me she likes me and wants to date me, only to block me on facebook from asking her about her day and doing a follow up of saying hello and how we met a few weeks later. Less shallow and narcissist supermodels from LA at comic con less games and less rejections if the people attending or at the con are ones who actually enjoy it and actually want to be there pay or no payment involved. If it's to good to be true it probably is. But I still try to meet and flirt with new girls or say hello again to old ones I crushed on in a previous year before. Gold diggers and party girls will go for a nerd but only if he is famous and rich and can help her build her status and career as a singer, model, actress, host, or entrepreneur. All the rest of us the 99% percent are left out in the cold and get treated like a freak or creep by the exact same girl. Most comic con guys are drawn to monster, beasts, villains, mythological fantasy creatures and made up characters and fictional accounts of life like make believe situations. Should it be such a shock to anyone that the men at comic con love the sexy women who are often much little more than a hot looking monster in real life? The nice girls are often stuck in the friend zone because men like me make strange choices in choosing women to fall in love with and feel safer with a sizzling hot exciting 2-dimensional girl than with a more mundane and calm and collected predictable average looking woman who is a full developed well rounded well adjusted person. Most guys are at comic con not just for the comic books and toys to collect and have as a hobby. Much of it has to do with not really fitting in as easily around many other people as a comic book nerd more so than the dvds of cult movies and action or horror films in your personal collection you saw and enjoyed. And comic con is a place to be yourself around your peers in a very cosmopolitan convention of pop culture all across the board of content and audience level or interest in things.
Much of comic con for me since age 18 has been to try to meet or talk to girls. Not that I don't do that everywhere else I go to around town or eat or shop at I meet good looking women all over. But I already collect so many things through out the year at the library used bookshops, thrift stores, and on craigslist that buying something at comic con is not so vital. I'd much rather enjoy my time meeting new people and entertaining others as a storyteller, comedian, and salesman trying to build more new friendships at comic con hopefully and living off the high and rush I get from interacting with and engaging other people in a conversation or banter that is light hearted and enjoyable to discuss and shoot the shit with people while waiting in line or just wandering around. When meeting cute girls I feel like a man on a mission to track down and find every cute girl who does not have a boyfriend with her.
